Getting to Wollongong by Road

Taking the drive from Sydney, you will experience breathtaking scenery.
From Sydney
About one hours drive south from Sydney via the Princes Highway (F6 Freeway).

From Southern Highlands
About 45 minutes drive east via either Mount Ousley Road/Picton Road and the Hume Highway (F5 Freeway) or Macquarie Pass/Illawarra Highway.

From South Coast
About one hours drive north from Nowra via the Princes Highway.

From Canberra
About 2.5 hours drive time along the Hume Highway to the Picton interchange and the Picton Road/Mt Ousley Road, or to Moss Vale and the Illawarra Highway.

Regular daily connections to the South Coast line from Central Station.

From Southern Highlands
Four connections daily from the Southern Highlands line. A connecting coach service operates between the Highlands and Albion Park Rail. An old-fashioned steam train, the Cockatoo Run traverses the mountain range to Wollongong.

From South Coast
Regular daily connections from Bomaderry station.

From Canberra
One connection daily to Moss Vale on the Countrylink Xplorer with coach connection to Wollongong.
